Chapter 931 Speak Up!

Chapter 931 Speak Up!

Tobirama Senju's fist trembled slightly. He knew clearly that Zhang Hai before him was no longer the passionate young man he once was. What he pursued was not the future of the ninja world, but a deeper darkness—a pursuit of power that transcended all emotions and sentiments, a power of utter indifference.

“You’re wrong.” Tobirama Senju finally spoke, his tone turning somber. “Your so-called strength is nothing but a puppet controlled by revenge and hatred. You are no longer a true ninja, but have become a ruthless monster.”

“Monster?” Zhang Hai turned around, his gaze sharp as a knife. “If you think what I’m doing is wrong, then try changing this world. Try and see if you can pull these incompetent and weak people out of their misery.”

The words had barely left his lips when a scream suddenly erupted from the battlefield. Zhang Hai's gaze swept across the battlefield, and he saw a mutated venomous creature leap from the ground, its enormous maw lunging at a coalition ninja. The ninja had no time to react and was torn apart by the creature, blood splattering everywhere. The creature rapidly devoured the soldier's corpse, transforming into an even more ferocious being, its body swelling rapidly within seconds until it became enormous.

“They’ve become stronger.” Tobirama Senju’s tone was filled with helplessness as he watched the mutated poisonous creatures rapidly evolve, their attacks becoming more precise and ferocious.

“Yes.” Zhang Hai’s voice was as cold as a blade. “This is the power I seek. These creatures you see are not merely tools of combat; they have developed their own consciousness and can adapt to any combat environment. They will continue to evolve until they ultimately surpass any ninja.”

Tobirama Senju was filled with fear. He knew the situation was beyond repair. The existence of these mutated poisonous creatures meant future disaster for the ninja world. They were no longer just weapons, but bio-monsters with independent thought and adaptability, capable of destroying the order of the entire world.

“You’ve gone too far.” Tobirama Senju shook his head, deep disappointment in his eyes. “These poisonous creatures—you’re entrusting the future of the ninja world to them. Aren’t you afraid they’ll destroy everything you cherish?”

“Cherish?” Zhang Hai scoffed. “I have nothing left to cherish. You’re right, I have no love, no responsibility. I’m just a man who lives for power; power is the only answer.” He paused, his gaze growing increasingly cold. “This world has become too corrupt to be redeemed. Everything I’ve done is simply to live for my own goals. The outcome is no longer important.”

The storm on the battlefield intensified, the air thick with pungent poisonous gas, and the allied ninjas struggled desperately. The mutated poisonous creatures seemed to have been aroused with even stronger fighting instincts, their attacks becoming increasingly ferocious, and some ninjas could no longer escape the corrosive effects of the gas, gradually losing consciousness.

Tobirama Senju slowly drew his sword, gripping the hilt tightly, his gaze sharp as a blade. He knew this battle wasn't just about the life or death of the ninja world, but about decisions that could never be reversed. He took a deep breath, as if making a firm decision, "I understand, Zhang Hai. If you choose this path, then I will personally stand in your way."

“You?” Zhang Hai smiled slightly, a hint of disdain flashing in his eyes. “Then come on, Tobirama. I’d like to see if you can stop me.”

Poisonous gas gradually filled the air, carrying an aura of decay and death, as if the entire Kikyō Mountain was shrouded in the shadow of death. The cries of poisonous creatures mingled, and terrifying mutated beings darted through the mountains, searching for new prey. Zhang Hai stood in the center of this brutal battlefield, his face cold and expressionless, his eyes devoid of any emotion. Faced with the deathly silence before him, he seemed like a ruthless god, deciding life and death, controlling every inch of the war.

His Dark Travel Technique was fully unleashed, shrouding the entire battlefield in dense darkness. The allied ninjas, who had initially been filled with conviction and courage, were now bewildered and helpless, trapped in an unseen abyss, unable to move or escape. All their senses—sight, hearing, and touch—were stripped away. Zhang Hai coldly observed all this, his heart devoid of any emotional fluctuation, save for a burning desire for victory.

"Your struggles... are futile." Zhang Hai's voice was low and calm, like a silent icy blade piercing Tobirama Senju's heart.

Standing in the darkness, Tobirama Senju, though his senses were completely blocked, could still feel Zhang Hai's presence. He struggled to suppress his fear and helplessness, trying to concentrate. He knew that Zhang Hai's move was extremely deadly, and if he couldn't react quickly, the situation would spiral completely out of control.

"Do you think... this will end everything?" Tobirama Senju's voice trembled slightly. "Zhang Hai, do you really think this method can bring you the order you want?"

Zhang Hai did not respond, but calmly swung the hilt of his knife. A hint of contempt flashed in his eyes as he said indifferently, "Order? The order you speak of is nothing but an illusion. The weak always pursue empty ideals, and I am merely bringing this illusory world to an end."

Before he finished speaking, Zhang Hai suddenly waved his hand, and the poisonous creatures scattered around rushed towards Senju Tobirama like messengers of death. Zhang Hai made no further moves, simply observing everything coldly. He knew that even Senju Tobirama could not escape this deadly predicament.

Tobirama Senju forcefully suppressed his fear, his body moving swiftly through the darkness. He gripped the ancient blade tightly, its edge gleaming with a cold light. He knew that only with this blade could he contend with Zhang Hai's power. He leaped into the air, his blade flashing, slicing through the darkness and cutting a poisonous creature that lunged at him in two. However, these poisonous creatures were like an endless nightmare; they quickly rose from the darkness, circling him and relentlessly attacking.

“You can’t escape.” Zhang Hai’s voice rang out again, his tone still cold, but with a hint of hidden pleasure. “All your resistance is in vain.”

Just then, a rumbling sound suddenly came from the distant sky. Jiraiya and Hiruzen Sarutobi appeared in sight. The two veteran ninjas appeared at the front line, and their appearance undoubtedly brought a glimmer of hope to the situation, but this hope was quickly swallowed up by the merciless poison gas.

Hiruzen Sarutobi's gaze was as sharp as a blade. He gripped his ninja sword tightly, and his aura quickly coalesced into a powerful force.
