Chapter 1342: Run and caught (2)

"Sister...Sister, are you angry?" Yu Mai peeked at Yu Dong whose face was livid. She was looking down at them as if she wanted to beat them until they knew what they did wrong but she didn’t. In fact, she did not even speak to them, she only glanced at Yu Mai and then said to him, "Get behind. I will deal with you two later on."

Yu Mai and Li Yuya knew that they were in trouble. They did not speak anymore and then turned to run behind the crowd. Once they went to the back of the crowd, they saw a very angry-looking Grandma Yu who picked up Yu Mai and shook him heavily.

"What were you thinking? You could have died! You could have gotten lost! Do you even know how worried we were?" Grandma Yu said to the little mer feeling like he was getting more and more bold. He actually dared to sneak out of the house and came to the forest. He was fortunate that he did not meet with a woman with evil intentions or else!

She then glared at Li Yuya and said to her, "And you! You are his big sister and you pulled him to this place? Have you gone mad, Yuya? You are not so big that you can venture deep into the forest and come out alright. You two could have seriously died if Dong Dong was not quick enough!"

Half an hour ago,

When the Yu family found out that the children were missing, Yu Dong immediately rushed out of the house. She headed down to Aunt Wang’s house and called her out, "Aunt Wang, come out will you?"

Upon hearing Yu Dong’s voice Aunt Wang was a bit surprised. She turned to look at her husband and then questioned, "Did you hear Dong Dong’s voice?" It was too late in the night and Aunt Wang couldn’t help but doubt that she was actually mishearing things.

It wouldn’t be the first time as she was used to hearing Yu Dong’s voice in the middle of the night, given how much trouble she caused for years.

Uncle Fu nodded. He pushed his wife off his body and then said to her, "Go and get dressed. It seems like something happened." As he spoke he too picked up his clothes and started putting them on one by one.

Seeing that Yu Dong was worried, Aunt Wang patted her on the shoulder. She then rang the bell to announce an emergency in the village causing many villagers to step out of their houses. They all looked at Aunt Wang who was holding the large gong-like bell and beating it, with shocked and worried looks on their faces.

"What happened, Aunt Wang? Why are you hitting the emergency gong?" One of the villagers questioned Aunt Wang. They thought something terrible happened which caused Aunt Wang to bang the gong.

Aunt Wang looked at the villagers and then said to them, "Mai and Yuya went missing from their house. The two of them seemed to have gone up the mountain, I implore you all to come and help us in searching for them."

As the forest was dangerous it was only right for Yu Dong to take the villagers with her. If she was to go up alone and something happened then the entire village would be in trouble.

Yu Dong looked at the stunned expressions of the villagers and said to them, "If you don’t want to then there is no reason for you to follow us, I understand that it’s dangerous——"

"What are you talking about, Miss Yu? How can you even say something like this?"
