Second Sister Chen was furious at the thought of how this mer had fooled her. Her family was filled with happiness and they all got along with one another quite happily. However, Master Bing just had to be the sh*t stirrer of the family.

He was petty and narrow-minded. On top of that, he thought that he was too wise and smart even when he was just a fool! Second Sister Chen still hadn’t forgotten how Master Bing had made a fuss and spread rumours in the village that he was being mistreated and that Mother Chen was biased.

After Yu Dong sent the letter of joining in her new venture, Mother Chen asked Second Sister Chen to go to the Big River Village and work alongside Yu Dong.

But Master Bing did not want that, he believed firmly that he was getting the shorter end of the stick.

He moaned and groaned about not having as many kids as Master Jiang and Second Sister Chen even heard him discuss it with his Daddy. Apparently, Master Bing was worried that Mother Chen would leave the business to Elder Sister Chen and not leave anything for Second Sister Chen as she was not as skilled as her elder sister.

Because of Master Bing and his audacious rumours, the matter escalated to the point where Master Jiang announced that he wanted to separate. He cried and made a fuss before shouting at the top of his lungs, ’Have I ever mistreated you? Even if you are the sister of my wife, I have cared for you like a second father! Whatever my kids had, you did too!

But now everyone in the village is cursing me and your sister. They call us heartless and pathetic! All because of this horrible husband of yours!’

’I cannot live like this! Either he lives here or I do! The two of us can never be in the same room ever again!’

Master Jiang was hysterical that night. Even Eldest Sister Chen was rather upset and disappointed.@@@@

Her sudden action caused Master Bing to turn silent as he looked at Second Sister Chen warily.

"You are not doing this for the good of our family. You did it for your family! You were worried that you would lose the support of your family if you stopped sending them money so you threw me and my family under the carriage! Don’t act like a saint now," Second Sister Chen snorted. She wiped her hands on her clothes and questioned suspiciously, "Why are you bringing my sister up for no reason?"

Master Bing felt like something was stuck in his throat. He opened his mouth and then closed it before saying, "Your sister is earning a lot of money... do you know that...??" He trailed off as Second Sister Chen glared at him with her eyes narrowed at him.

"It doesn’t matter even if she is earning a lot of money. She took the risk, it’s paying off. You wanted me to stay stuck in this shop and we are here. There is no need for you to get jealous," Second Sister Chen ignored her husband and turned to walk inside the house but how could Master Bing let that happen?

This was a matter of a thousand taels! A thousand taels!

He hurriedly chased after his wife and said to her, "I heard from one of our neighbours that she is now earning a thousand taels! Don’t you think that we can——"

"No!" Second Sister Chen was furious. She knew where her husband was going, she turned around and raised her finger before saying, "Don’t even think about it! You have embarrassed me enough! I can never raise my head in front of my sister ever again. How can you even think of taking advantage of her?"
