Chapter 2209 Operation Dreaded Winter -Part 1
"are you sure that you do not want to make any friends?" kraft for the first time was not going to be the devil's advocate. "i thought you were hell bent on making friends."
"i do not want to waste too much time on this in the first place," jin said as he looked at the world map of atopia. with stealth reconnaissance planes, the intelligence division of ress royal military for the first time had mapped the entirety of atopia.
to jin's surprise, it was indeed just a single landmass in this particular world. there were no multiple continents nor landmasses in which the residents of atopia were residing. just one extremely big chunk of land floating in atopia's waters.
they could very well invade by sailing one round over to the southern tips of the southern kingdom and slaughter everyone from there.
"but doing so will yield you much hatred, does it not?" right now, kraft being the sane person in the conversation questioned jin for such a tactic.
"well, then all we have to do is to be the better man in the picture, no?" jin said which made kraft even more confused until the king of ress threw a picture of the demon octopus on the table. yet, the usually cunning fox devil would have something in his head...just not this time.
"wait. you still cannot figure it out?" jin wondered if there was something wrong with kraft.
"yeah, you can send your demons with you, it seems like a decent plan to use the demon octopus if you wish to invade from the bottom. so? i do not catch the drift." kraft surrendered. unsure of what jin was thinking about until the latter sighed.
"we can disguise those vehicles and mechs as demons. wrap the entire machinery with an organic look and they can still use the modern technology from within those mechs."
"ah, then that would be rather fun, your monsters can work on their halloween costumes skills before the next incoming halloween event. hahahahah!" kraft said and jin actually thought that would be a decent idea too.
all they had to do was to create a demonic monster army that emerged through a teleportation portal from the southern seas. get a few demon mages to conjure bleeding night skies as part of the atmosphere of death, just as how the celestials lit up the whole freaking skies to show their presence.
do that with the creeping winter, the southern kingdoms would be crippled badly and they would not have the capability to gather a huge army to fight against them. judging from jin's plan, kraft had deduced that he wanted to use the demons as a distraction and use his troops as the saving grace for the southern kingdom.
this way, they could earn brownie points and lesser political ramifications from invading them in advance. surely, jin would be able to defeat them just as he had defeated the neighbouring cities easily when they gathered to fight against him but it would be better that ress could be portrayed as the 'bigger' guy in the community of atopia.
instead of conquering with fear and distrust, ress would defeat the demon army and provide some aid to the southern kingdoms, gaining their relationship in the process of weakening them.
"in the meantime, perhaps plant your star foxes in to gain more information about our foe as well? we are doing this because we know that they do not know about us. but whether they know nothing or something...how much they know is another separate matter. also, we can use the star foxes when the time is right to create more havoc to eliminate the civilians or possible military deterrence." jin suggested and kraft nodded in agreement.
"i can spare a few. perhaps also destabilise the area if needed." kraft replied and the two decided to continue with the plan of action.
