Chapter 520: My Own Blood

Chapter 520: My Own Blood

"T— This is really unfair... We tried our best to save the universe." Zelly’s emotions finally broke through, tears streaming down her face like rainfalls .

I could see she hated the fact that, despite everything they had done, no one would ever acknowledge their sacrifice.

All their efforts, all their battles, would be forgotten, and their legacy erased.

After countless years, no one would remember the Zol Clan as protectors.

Instead, they would be seen as brutal and sadistic people who killed and destroyed without cause, their true intentions lost to history.

As I looked at her face, something stirred inside me. It wasn’t pity, but a realization.

Would I be remembered as someone brutal and sadistic?

.Côm

Would people see me as an impulsive villain who did whatever I wanted?

Would I be remembered as the very embodiment of evil?

And with all those deep and hard questions, I realized those things basically sum up my personality. So, I can’t really complain... much.

"That’s just life. Some people are meant to be at the top like me, and then there’s you, just disposable pawns in the grand scheme of things," I responded.

There was no hint of mockery in my voice; I was just stating the truth.

With a sharp hiss, she spat out, "W— Why are you being so cruel?"

I paused for a moment, pretending to care about her emotions just a little bit.

"I mean, it’s not like you suffered a lot. You were all ordered with maintaining the seal, but all this time your clan has been enjoying their life—killing humans, violating them, playing with them and all. So it could be worse," I responded.

Zelly’s face contorted, and she wanted to protest, but in the end, she did not continue, realizing that it was futile to talk to me at all.

And she was right.

I’m pretty much the most close-minded being in the universe. No amount of explanation would penetrate my head.

She would have a better chance of convincing me if she got naked right now and performed a belly dance in front of me.

"B— But I’m the reason why he died," she responded, clearly referring to Zayen’s son.

"Forget about him. It was his choice to die. In this world, only the strong can survive. Don’t tell me you’re such a weak-minded woman that you would miss the opportunity to survive just because of such trivial matters?" I teased her, slowly trying to mess with her head.

"Your son is just a trivial matter to you?" she asked, realizing the depth of my indifference.

But I couldn’t really blame her. My mind operated on a different level, no longer bound by human standards of right or wrong.

"Everything is a trivial matter to me," I chuckled, pressing my lips to hers, my tongue exploring the deepest parts of her mouth.

When I finally pulled away, I gave her a moment to catch her breath, watching the confusion and frustration in her eyes.

While she was lost in thought, I snapped my fingers, and my origin energy began to heal all the damage in her body.

She could feel herself returning to normal, back to the state before her abilities were boosted.

This made her realize that I was really serious about sparing her life if she agreed to be mine.

"So what’s your choice?" I asked casually, though a little bit of tension lingered in the air. "I can snap my fingers again and erase you completely or...."

"I want to be your woman... No, I beg you to make me your woman," she exclaimed, finally giving her choice.

"Good choice," I chuckled, then slowly absorbed her into my personal space to enjoy later.

It would be a hassle to explain this to Zayen, that I had just decided to make the woman she hated the most part of my harem.

But hey, that’s the life of a god, always full of surprises.

’Time to get back,’ I slowly hovered down and meet with Zayen and Shao Mi who was not aware of what was happening because of my barrier.

"Is she dead?" Zayen hurriedly asked.

"That’s right, I made sure to make her suffer first," I replied, lying through my teeth. My voice was cold and devoid of any emotion to show that I’m also mourning about her son’s death.

Zayen hugged me tightly, tears of gratitude in his eyes as she thanked me for taking revenge.

"Now our son’s soul will finally be able to rest," she whispered.

’Ah... yeah ’
