When Xiu came back from the Sima Family mansion, Lin Xuan Qi asked, "What did Master Sima Ye say?"

"Master Sima Ye said thanks for letting him know and that Master Zhao Geng Nian likes to savor all the different types of cuisines." Xiu replied and he waved for her to go.

She bowed at him and continued her other chores.

"Likes to savor all types of cuisines huh..." Lin Xuan Qi mumbled and thought about what Sima Ye really meant.

And from the sound of it, things would certainly be different in Hong Feng City in the future.

Never before would he have thought that the Sima Family would have to deal with the Qing Feng Sect itself.

Something must have happened in the Qing Feng Sect. He speculated and gave out a sigh.

He was on the right track with the franchise business and he only had to draw in the franchisees next.

That required him to go around among the masters of the different Clans and Families to invite them to join as franchisees.

Normally, he wouldn’t be so enthusiastic to do so, but the dinner with Zhao Geng Nian might come in handy for this.

But before he did that, he would want his old friends and business partners to be in on it first.

Next day.

In the main hall, there were a few small furnaces burning with coal along the walls.

These furnaces gave out heat for the guests to warm themselves against the cold of the winter.

Servant girls got busy and they brought out some dessert to go with the tea.

"Heh. These green bean cakes look so appetizing. Please excuse me while I savor some of them first." Sima Long said and picked up one of the green bean cakes on the tray by his side.

Lin Xuan Qi shook his head at him and said, "You should try and cut down on your weight."

Sima Long chuckled and patted his belly, making the flesh on it wobble a little.

"I’m afraid having good food is the only enjoyment I can get now, so I’m not going to give it all up." He said and raised his eyebrows at Lin Xuan Qi and Lin Xuan Qi gave him an ’I know’ nod.

Zhang Jie must have controlled his drinking or, worse, his allowance had been drastically reduced by the Sima Family.

He wished that it was the former for Sima Long as the implications would be bad if it was the latter.

"Is it that good?" Liu Shao saw how quickly Sima Long wolfed down the green bean cake and he also picked one up.

His eyes opened wide when he had a bite of it.

It was smooth and sweet.

A simple delicacy made to perfection.

"This is good. I would poach your chef over to my place if I could." Liu Shao said jokingly.

Sima Long nodded his head vigorously and said, "Me too. Brother Xuan Qi has such good luck with things."

"What? I treat both of you as brothers but all the while you’ve been eyeing my chef?" Lin Xuan Qi said and shook his head with an expression of disappointment.

Hun Xiong Kun who was also in the main hall smiled at their banter and said, "I’m sure they aren’t the only ones with the idea."

"Of course." Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and said, "And that’s why I’ve invited all of you here."

Liu Shao quickly put down the green bean cake he had in his hand and glanced at Lin Xuan Qi.

He knew what it meant when Lin Xuan Qi said something like this.

After being a dealer with the Lin Clan Taste Transcendent Essence, he had earned quite a bit from it and he wouldn’t want to miss out on what Lin Xuan Qi had to offer next.

It was the same for Sima Long.

If he could be involved with something that made more money for the Sima Family now, he would be contributing much more in the eyes of Sima Yu.

Lin Xuan Qi stood up, paced around with his hands on his back and he started his pitch, "First, imagine that if you can get the same tasty food that is made by my chef in any of the eateries that are opened by me.

"All the customers can go in and expect the same standard and taste, anywhere and at any time of the day.

"This is what I want to be doing next and I want to invite you to be part of it."

"Wouldn’t your chef be overworked and tired very soon?" Liu Shao asked, thinking that Auntie Sue would have to be cooking for all the different eateries.

Hun Xiong Kun had his doubts and asked, "What would be our role in all of this?"

Only Sima Long as Lin Xuan Qi’s closest buddy wasn’t too worried.

He was confident that Lin Xuan Qi would have taken care of everything for them.

Lin Xuan Qi nodded at them and he glanced over at Xiu.

Xiu bowed at him and she got the servants who were waiting by the side to come to the middle of the main hall.
