Chapter 219 The Messenger
Chapter 219 The Messenger
It's a new day, and the Fleshwood is teeming with life.
A six-eyed flying fish leaped out of the water, and then it was eaten by the butcher frog.
puff.
The fish skin, bones, and meat were neatly separated and piled up separately.
With a single twist of its branches, the man-eating tree snatched away most of the fish meat, then quietly piled it under its roots to absorb nutrients.
The fish bones were taken over by the decomposing mushrooms, which nibbled at them bit by bit.
puff.
With a burst of juice, the hunting dogs arrived and began to devour the decomposing mushrooms without hesitation.
However, the good fortune didn't last long. A hunting dog, because of its greed, was melted by the liquid inside the decomposing mushroom and turned into a puddle of minced meat.
These meat pastes were absorbed by the blood and flesh moss, which had undergone secondary modification, and formed drops of nutrient solution.
The butcher frog's eyes lit up, and it began licking the nutrient solution.
With a loud thud, dawn broke. The lantern tree, towering over ten meters tall, radiated light, illuminating the scarlet grass beneath it.
Meanwhile, the scarlet grass is also photosynthesizing, slowly producing nutrient solution.
A giant worm was wriggling underground, causing tremors.
A fake man plucked the fruit from the man-eating tree, ate the flesh and blood inside, and then threw away the seed-containing core.
In the distance, a strangely shaped village, built of flesh and bones, is the dwelling place of the false people.
"A person should have only one mouth, two eyes, two ears, and two eyebrows."
Judah taught his people.
As designated apex predators, the pseudo-people have virtually no pressure to produce; for them, this is truly an ideal place where milk and honey are preserved.
The nutrient solution tasted incredibly sweet to them, a stark contrast to the attitude of flesh and blood creatures towards nutrient solution for survival.
Among all flesh-and-blood creatures, most are unwilling to eat nutrient solutions in order to promote evolution, because Jiang Shuzhou has already adjusted their sense of taste.
Only fish and plants are exceptions, as are pseudo-humans.
After all, neither end of the food chain needs adjustment, because if one is under too much pressure, the other could easily become extinct.
Another factor is that there shouldn't be too much pressure, otherwise it could easily lead to the extinction of other species.
Of course, just as God expelled Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, Jiang Shuzhou also planned to have the fake people do the work after a while, because he couldn't live such a comfortable life every day.
At this point, Judah looked much more normal; apart from being bald, he resembled a normal person.
Of course, upon closer inspection, problems can still be found.
For example, his eyes are lifeless and don't move, his mouth shape doesn't match what he says, he has six fingers on his hands and no palm lines, etc.
However, these were all things they optimized themselves later; as long as it roughly resembled a human, that was fine.
Judah's people were not as anthropomorphic as him; some had five arms and three legs, some had eyes and noses that were one piece, and some had two faces. They were all quite different in appearance.
They looked all sorts of things, but none of them were human.
Judas had no other choice but to teach as much as he could.
At first, these compatriots didn't even know what a human being was. Fortunately, they were able to share their memories with each other, and that's how they came to understand what a human being was.
This exchange class also allowed these monsters to communicate with each other about how to become more human.
"I think becoming a human doesn't have to be that complicated."
A fake man spoke, and then his face began to blur.
The last pixel shows the human face.
It must be said that it's very precise and looks quite human; at least there are no mistakes. The nose is a nose, the eyes are eyes, and the parts are all correct.
"I think we just need to grow to a certain size, then we can cover it up with clothes."
As he spoke, this fake person, who only had a pair of eyes, casually covered his face with his clothes, and surprisingly, he looked quite convincing.
"I think..."
In short, these imposters are like the Eight Immortals crossing the sea, each displaying their unique abilities.
As long as they look as human as possible, that's fine. They're not human, so it doesn't matter what they look like.
"Keep practicing like this for now. You still have a long way to go before you can reach the human world."
As Judas spoke, he closed his mouth, which had just split open, revealing a mouth full of sharp teeth that made him look unlike a human.
A call came from his soul; it was the call of the Creator.
There are new orders.
Sigrún has taught at the Iceland University of the Arts as a part-time lecturer since and was Dean of the Department of Fine Art from -. In – she held a research position at Reykjavík Art Museum focusing on the role of women in Icelandic art. She studied fine art at the Icelandic College of Arts and Crafts and at Pratt Institute, New York, and holds BA and MA degrees in art history and philosophy from the University of Iceland. Sigrún lives and works in Iceland.
In the pitch-black desert, a tall figure moved swiftly.
"Knock knock knock".
This is a town, far from the world and isolated from other towns. Jiang Shuzhou's army had no intention of attacking it.
"Who is it? Why are they knocking on the door of a tavern?"
"Just come in!"
A tall man squeezed through the small door of the tavern.
"Hello, you are here. I am the messenger, bringing you the command of the Most High."
The man spoke strange words in a peculiar, halting voice, as if he had just learned to speak.
"The Most High demands that you leave this place and go to the Tower of Babel within seven days, or you will die!"
After the man finished speaking, everyone present fell silent.
"What the hell are you saying! Believe me or not, I'll kill you!"
"You're nothing! What supreme being? I think you're nothing but a fart too!"
A man was cursing.
The tall, thin man turned his head 180 degrees to look at the man who had cursed.
Then, to everyone's utter astonishment, his body turned around.
"In your next life, remember to speak with more respect."
As he spoke, he directly pulled out the man's heart with his hand, and then, at an exaggerated angle, opened his blood-red mouth and ate it directly.
"Sir, this is a tavern. You can't get anywhere with us. Go to the mayor's house and talk to him. Only he has the final say."
The bar owner spoke hesitantly, his voice trembling.
"Is that so?"
The tall, thin man muttered something to himself, then smashed through the wall and left.
But just a few seconds later, he turned back.
"You, come here and lead the way!"
He randomly pointed to someone to lead the way, and then he said...
Enjoy your drinks, everyone.
Immediately afterwards, he stretched out his hand and, from a distance of three meters, pulled the man over to lead the way.
The group looked at each other, speechless.
However, the next day, the mayor ordered everyone to relocate.
The underworld has a new master: a supreme being demands that they all reside in the Tower of Babel, or face endless terrors that will tear their bodies and souls apart.
This was the first task Jiang Shuzhou gave to the puppet regime: to spread his will to all the settlements.
Before long, Jiang Shuzhou will no longer restrain these flesh and blood creatures, and the entire underground world will be their paradise. Except for the Tower of Babel area, no one can survive there for long.
