Lumine was also completely baffled. Could it be that Elliot wasn't who they thought he was? Maybe he was actually... a good guy?
Elliot didn't explain, unaware that the Traveler and Paimon had mentally slapped a "good guy card" on him. Right now, he was enjoying Barbara's gentle care while simultaneously pulling up his system interface.
By gifting the World Bubble to Barbara, he had essentially granted her a portion of his power power he could technically reclaim at any time. Simultaneously, the system awarded him the title [World's Kin].
[World's Kin]: Granted upon gifting a World Bubble to another. The recipient becomes your Kin, and their Affinity towards you increases. Additionally, Kin can complete your quests on your behalf.
Elliot pondered for a moment. Interesting. Kin can complete my quests? In this world, the only quest he hadn't finished was defeating Maguu Kenki.
That task wasn't particularly difficult. Maguu Kenki was essentially a war puppet from Inazuma that had ended up on these islands.
Its actual strength wasn't overwhelming. Barbara, now possessing a portion of his power, should be able to handle it for him.
As for the "Dodoking" they were
"Such strength!" Jean's sword was knocked flying by the impact. As a knight, losing her sword was like a cavalryman losing his horse; her combat effectiveness plummeted.
Immediately, the Maguu Kenki slashed again. The katana whistled through the air, heading straight for Jean.
At that moment, a determined glint appeared in Barbara's eyes. She aimed her hand towards the Maguu Kenki, made a gentle grasping motion, and then spoke:
"...Havoc: Obliteration!"
Instantly, the Maguu Kenki was engulfed in swirling torrents of water. Childe's combat technique was, at its core, a killing art. The water flowed like blades, slicing through the large Maguu Kenki, instantly tearing it apart.
A moment of silence fell over the group.
Only Barbara's voice, soft yet firm, broke the quiet. "Sister... I won't hide behind you anymore."
....
...Meanwhile...
[Quest "Defeat Maguu Kenki" Completed. Received Gnosis x1, Archon Blood Essence.]
Standing before the swirling portal back to his world, Elliot heard the pleasing notification. "Not bad. Finished the quest pretty quickly."
Without further hesitation, he stepped through, heading home.

Back in the Elroe Labyrinth...
To avoid the Queen Taratect's senses, Kumoko hid deep within the labyrinth. As the saying goes, the most dangerous place is often the safest.
The Elroe Labyrinth was riddled with countless tunnels and passages, offering many hiding spots. Plus, the Queen's massive size prevented her from entering many narrow areas.
So, even though the Queen could sense Kumoko was somewhere nearby, she couldn't pinpoint her exact location or easily reach her.
Kumoko hunkered down, ambushing low-level monsters for food each day, waiting for her Parallel Minds to weaken her mother's soul enough for her to come out and deliver the final blow.
But recently, food had become extremely scarce. Yesterday, for example, Kumoko had waited in ambush all day without encountering a single living monster. If she didn't catch anything today, her SP would run out.
Kumoko had a growing suspicion about the situation. Her mother likely sensed she was still hiding somewhere in the labyrinth but couldn't find her exact spot.
So, the Queen had resorted to killing all the monsters in the surrounding area, trying to starve Kumoko out.
This put Kumoko in a really tight spot. Going a day without food was tolerable. But three to five days? Even a god couldn't survive that.
After waiting another full day without spotting a single monster, Kumoko was finally convinced: her mother had indeed wiped out all nearby creatures.
"This is trouble. Didn't expect Mom to be this smart. This is her turf. The best way to deal with me isn't to destroy everything, but to kill all the food sources nearby and just wait me out. In a battle of attrition, I definitely can't beat Mom!"
Analyzing the situation, Kumoko still waited patiently for prey. She had no other choice. If she revealed herself now, the Queen would surely find her.
Even though her Parallel Minds were constantly attacking the Queen's soul, her mother was still ridiculously strong. She needed to wait longer.
Rumble rumble... But her stomach wouldn't wait. She was so hungry she felt like chewing on tree bark.
"Just a little longer... If no monster shows up soon, I'll have to make a run for it!" Kumoko grit her teeth, frustrated. Her mom was ruthless, resorting to scorched-earth tactics. Not a single monster in sight.
Finally, her patience paid off. From a dark corner, a snake slithered out.
