Chapter 465: Super Shinra Tensei
Chapter 465: Super Shinra Tensei
Nagato did not bother to conceal his chakra. He flew straight toward Obito without hesitation.
This blatant approach naturally drew Obito’s attention. He immediately controlled Susanoo, swinging its massive arm to slash at Nagato with its katana.
The sheer force created a storm that uprooted trees, turning the battlefield even more chaotic.
This strike could level mountains.
Nagato didn’t dodge. He raised his hand, the Rinnegan in his eyes trembled, an immense chakra erupted.
"Shinra Tensei!"
BOOM!!!
A massive shockwave roared out. Everything in front of Nagato was blasted backward violently, chunks of land were torn from the earth.
Obito’s mountain-splitting slash met the tremendous repulsive force, and stopped dead.
BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!
In the next instant, the massive Susanoo was sent flying, crashing into the ground with thunderous force, crushing countless trees and leaving crater after crater.
"Not good... not only has he regained his legs, his chakra is much stronger than before."
Obito’s face darkened as he struggled to lift Susanoo again.
Things had reached their worst. Nagato hadn’t just recovered, he’d powered up.
Obito was sure, Nagato hadn’t been this strong before. He’d seen Nagato fight, he’d studied him, though not as thoroughly as Nagazawa had.
"Nagato, stop. Don’t continue down this mistaken path. I know Zetsu must’ve told you something, but don’t trust it. He’s our real enemy."
Obito still didn’t give up on a peaceful resolution.
"I’ll deal with Zetsu myself. But that’s no excuse for your betrayal."
Nagato’s face remained expressionless.
"I don’t like you, but what you once said was true, this world is cursed. In a cursed world, no one can truly be happy."
"And I... will be the one to shatter that curse. To make the world feel pain, to understand pain..."
As he spoke, his chakra erupted even more violently.
The pressure emanating from Nagato became nearly tangible, manifesting in waves of flame-like energy. The sheer aura knocked unconscious birds and insects in the forest.
Nagato suddenly threw a black sphere into the sky.
"Feel pain, Chibaku Tensei!"
The black ball shot upward, unleashing a terrifying suction.
Chunks of dirt, rock, debris, wood, all were drawn to it.
Even the enormous Susanoo was dragged upward.
Obito knew he couldn’t just talk anymore, he had to fight or be sealed.
Nagazawa had once told Obito how to destroy Chibaku Tensei, just destroy the core.
"Kamui!"
Obito canceled Susanoo and allowed the black sphere to draw him in. His eyes spun, space distorted where the sphere hovered.
Half of Chibaku Tensei vanished, seemingly swallowed by an invisible beast.
The remaining half hadn’t fully formed, so it wasn’t massive. It crashed down, making a crater the size of a single Susanoo punch.
"Even Chibaku Tensei destroyed so easily..."
Nagato grew warier of Obito’s powers.
This fake Uchiha Madara was no joke.
His intangibility made him immune to any attack, though seemingly with a time limit. Nagato remembered he only stayed intangible for about three minutes before attacking.
Either that was the limit, or Obito simply chose to act after three minutes.
His long-range Kamui was also terrifying, maybe even stronger than Rinnegan techniques.
Even Preta Path, best at defense, had been instantly destroyed. Chibaku Tensei too, vanished without a trace.
Clearly, this technique couldn’t be tanked. It had to be dodged.
"Nagato, we really should sit down and talk. Maybe then you’ll understand."
Obito pleaded again.
He didn’t want to fight. He couldn’t win against Nagato.
Nagato’s perception was too sharp, Kamui wouldn’t hit his real body unless someone else pinned him down first.
Still, Nagato couldn’t beat him easily either. Dual Kamui, one for offense, one for defense, Obito was balanced. Nagato would struggle to take him down quickly.
"There’s nothing to say to a traitor."
Nagato didn’t want to talk. He just wanted to beat Obito into the ground.
No matter what Obito said, he had once been part of the downfall of Akatsuki.
At that moment, due to the massive battle, others began approaching, but fortunately, Konan arrived first and stopped them.
"The leader is fighting a powerful enemy. Do not approach."
Konan warned. Then, wings of paper unfurled and she flew toward Nagato.
"This Hidden Light Village is full of hidden dragons... So it’s not just Leader Yahiko who’s strong. Even the upper ranks are formidable."
The Land of Fields ninja were astonished just seeing Konan fly. Flying ninja were rare.
Their hopes for Hidden Light Village soared. With such leaders, the village might rise to the peak once held by Amegakure, even the great nations would have to show respect.
But some thought deeper, like Nida Ryusei.
"Another hidden powerhouse? One or two can be reclusive hermits... but how does a whole village have so many elites? And who is this enemy, anyway?"
The two fighters had nearly destroyed the forest and even affected nearby mountains. Nida Ryusei was shocked, this was no local skirmish.
"This Hidden Light Village is no simple force..."
His eyes gleamed, pondering silently.
Back at the battlefield, Konan arrived beside Nagato.
"Uchiha Madara?"
She looked at Obito, then turned to Nagato. She hadn’t been told everything, there was no time.
"He’s not Madara. He betrayed us. After we returned to Akatsuki and found everyone dead, it was him."
Nagato laid out the truth.
Konan’s pupils contracted in shock.
She had long suspected the masked man had sinister plans, but to learn it wasn’t Hanzo, but him, who’d slaughtered Akatsuki?
She couldn’t hold back. Her wings exploded into thousands of paper sheets, some spears, some butterflies, some still sheets, but all surged toward Obito.
Obito sighed.
Maybe I revealed the truth too early... They’re not listening at all, they just want to kill me.
He didn’t fear death, only dying before atoning for his sins. Before he could ensure peace truly lasted.
He could die, even miserably, but not now, not by Nagato’s hand.
"Susanoo!"
He summoned another skeletal Susanoo around him. Konan’s paper attacks only chipped it, he was unharmed.
He didn’t use the strongest form, it drained too much chakra. With more enemies incoming, he had to conserve.
Konan remained calm, quietly drawing a scroll.
Her Paper Jutsu had a hidden trick, she could embed Explosive Tags within.
Could he block millions of them?
One tag equaled the power of a standard Jonin technique.
A hundred Jonin launching Fire Release together, who could endure that?
"No need. Just support me."
Nagato stopped her.
"I’m going all out next."
"If you do... it’ll shorten your life."
Konan frowned.
Nagato had always known, his body couldn’t handle full Rinnegan output without damage.
Not until Gedo Art of Rinne Rebirth restored his legs had he gotten stronger.
"It’s fine. I’m not the same as before. Even full power won’t cost me much now."
Obito was a massive threat. Taking him down, even at the cost of a few years of life, was worth it.
Konan knew Nagato’s personality. He rarely cared for things, but once he decided, no one could dissuade him.
She silently flew aside, ready to strike again when the time was right.
Obito, meanwhile, was stunned by the sheer chakra Nagato was now radiating.
Nagato’s face was blank, but his aura now surpassed even when he used Chibaku Tensei. The pressure distorted the very air.
Nagato was serious now. Every Rinnegan technique he used from this point would push his life to its limits.
He took to the sky, looking divine as sunlight struck his emotionless face.
Obito’s instincts screamed, DANGER!
This Nagato was different.
Obito didn’t hesitate, he stopped conserving chakra. His Susanoo transformed into a full armored warrior.
"Super Shinra Tensei!"
Nagato’s Rinnegan pulsed. The air rippled violently. A repulsion force of unimaginable scale burst forth like a tsunami toward Obito.
BOOOOOOOM!!!
The earth trembled, cracked, and collapsed. Entire mountains shattered into rubble.
From above, the once-forested land on the same level as Hidden Light Village turned into a massive basin, craters and destruction everywhere.
"So strong!"
Obito’s Susanoo was slammed into the ground, crushed by the sheer force. His chakra was draining rapidly.
He could see the apocalyptic devastation, all centered on him, with invisible pressure ripping everything apart.
As the force finally subsided, Obito’s tense heart relaxed. Susanoo was battered, but it endured.
"Super Chibaku Tensei!"
Nagato didn’t pause.
This time, he threw three black spheres.
They soared into the sky, unleashing terrifying suction, pulling all debris upward, forming three massive meteors.
"Let’s see you handle this."
Nagato floated midair, cold and calm.
Each meteor was larger than Susanoo, and they were falling from high altitude.
Even those in Hidden Light Village could see them.
"What is that?! A meteor? Why now?"
-Random confused civilian
"It’s close! Could it hit us?!"
-Worried villager
Even Nida Ryusei was dumbfounded.
"True power... can summon meteors?"
The three colossal meteors roared down toward Obito.
He tried to dodge, but found himself surrounded by countless paper sheets.
Konan wasn’t just watching.
Long-range Kamui could destroy one Chibaku Tensei, but not three.
Could he phase?
But what about Asura Path trapped in Kamui space?
Too many threats. Too many questions.
And now, three meteors fell from the heavens.
