Chapter 548 547: Provocation

After teleporting far away from the path of the water spear, his Master's voice drifted into his ears.

"Make sure she doesn't disturb me and buy as much time as you can."

The corners of Corey's lips twitched when he heard this. 'Master, even though you don't know what I'm capable of, do you really think I can prevent a Power from disturbing you if she wants to?... I'm still a Tier 2 damn it.'

Although Corey had this thought, his Genesis Armament appeared in his hands, and he twirled the massive weapon like he was holding a drumstick.

"Hey, Vaerina, the so-called Queen of the Shattered Sea. I have a question to ask you"

Corey's voice cut through the tension-filled atmosphere, and Vaerina paused her brewing attack in order to listen to what Corey wanted to say.

"I've been curious ever since I gazed upon your... 'unique' appearance. Do you actually give birth to those ugly things down there? And if you do, how many disgusting rods have you taken inside your ugly disgusting little hole?"

Silence

A tense and uncomfortable silence filled the realm above the Eternal Waterfall. For a moment, even the moving motes of light and the gushing water from the black pot paused.

"Oh, my dear foolish disciple... You're so fucked."

Old Man Poison's voice cut through the tense and uncomfortable silence, and from the bird's eye view of his Eyes of Omniscience, he could see his Master shake his head with a surprised but disappointed expression.

Even Melissa had an expression of disgust and surprise after hearing his words.

'Don't look at me like that you guys. I'm just trying to buy as much time as I can just like you said, Master. Start executing your plan, Master.'

However, he sensed and saw something with his Eyes of Omniscience. His eyes widened, and he quickly spun and placed his massive axe in a defensive position to protect his upper body.

There was nothing in the direction Corey was facing, however, in the next two seconds, a massive force slammed into Corey and the sound of huge amounts of water landing on the floor resounded across the realm.

Corey flew backwards with blood dripping from the right side of his mouth, and where he flew to was where the black tentacles were located. Despite knowing this, Corey did not bother attempting to dodge or block the tentacles.

The tentacles pierced through his body but nothing happened, and Corey's eyes flickered.

'She's good at illusions.'

Corey thought as he landed on the ground with his feet, his pure white eyes glowed brightly, and he quickly looked around. Two seconds later, he looked up, and then he saw Vaerina hovering high up in the air with a surprised expression.

"You could see through... my illusions."

Corey smiled, and then a thought came to his mind, causing his smile to widen.

"Why don't you use your power of illusions to obscure the ugly part of you? At least I won't always be scarred when I remember you."

Vaerina's expression and movement froze for a few seconds, and then she screamed in anger.

"DIEEEE!!!!"

The sky trembled and space twisted as Vaerina's aura surged and her immense energy caused the realm to tremble incessantly.

Thousands of weapons made of water appeared in the sky, and when Corey saw this, his smile froze.

Without waiting for a response from Corey, the water weapons flew towards Corey with the rage and immense killing intent of their Queen.
