Chapter 386: The Court and the Visiting “Lamb” (Part 6)

"Little Ita's full name is Ita Weilufu. In terms of seniority, he is indeed Miss Brunhill's great-grandfather." The factory director explained.

Conan felt his own sense of age collapse. This boy, who had just turned sixteen, was actually the great-grandfather of a pirate family descendant who loved to drink the "happy water of adulthood"? How many more weirdos are there in your Oletus organization?

"Mr. Leo, there is one more thing I want to explain to you. I have to go back to the Melody family's mansion today." The reporter's words interrupted Conan's brain storm.

"What? This is too dangerous! What if Melody finds out that you stole his film? Wouldn't you be walking into a trap if you go back?" The gardener was so anxious that he grabbed the reporter's hand.

"Why do you have to go back? Are you trying to cover up something more important?" Conan asked.

"Yes, I told Jack I was out here to find the Thistle Group's weak spot and that I'd be returning with some useless intelligence." The reporter's tone was flat. "Before I left, Miss Galatea said she wanted to take me, someone skilled in gathering intelligence, with her."

"Can you believe what she says?"

"Miss Galatea may be a bit paranoid, but she's not one to lie about this," the reporter explained. "And with her helping me cover up, it's much easier. I can just say I'm out looking for Miss Helena."

"That's true, but I have a feeling something big is going to happen with Melody," the Philanthropist complained. "First, the Mechanic rebelled, taking away a bunch of scientific talent and Miss Barrier. Then the Sculptor and Melody fell out, and finally, you stole his film..."

"Look, the photographer is broke, rich, and going crazy." The lawyer pushed his glasses up. "I hope he doesn't implicate us when he goes crazy."

"Although I still have to go back, I think my operations so far have been smooth sailing. Thank you all for your assistance." The reporter smiled and then turned to Conan. "Well, little detective, your name is Conan, right? Can I take a picture of you?"

"Hey, you want to take a picture of me?" Conan pointed at his nose.

"Well, because I want to 'remember' you." The reporter smiled and raised his camera. "Look at the camera and smile, okay? Little Sherlock Holmes, smile~"

"Eggplant~" The gardener cooperated and called out for Conan from behind.

With a "click", the reporter pressed the shutter and a photo of Conan with one hand on his waist was taken.

"How about I give you this half of the film as a reward, little detective?" The reporter handed Conan the piece of film that was originally intended for the factory director and his men.

"For me?" Conan took the film. "But aren't you planning to give this to Uncle Leo and the others?"

"I've already revealed almost all my information. This film is no longer of much significance to Mr. Leo and the others. I think this film should help you understand what kind of person the 'photographer' is."

"Thank you." Conan put the film away and thanked the reporter solemnly.

"Well, see you next time. I wish you all the best." The reporter said goodbye to everyone and left the lounge.

"I really hope she can get away from the Melody family as soon as possible. The surname Lamb must be something she made up herself. The pure 'Lamb' really suits her." The doctor sighed.

"Then what does the name 'Eri' mean?" the gardener asked in confusion.

"Eri, Eri...Erebus?" The philanthropist racked his brains to come up with a name that was somewhat similar.

"That's the name of the dark primordial god in Greek mythology. That's going too far." The gardener rolled his eyes.

The lawyer was obviously more knowledgeable than the philanthropist: "The name Eury, if changed to English, is 'Eury'. The name I can think of that is related to this is 'Eurydice', Eurydice, or called..."

"Eurydice!" Conan blurted out this iconic name. "Does the name Eurydice have any special meaning in Eurydice Manor? I feel like I've heard it in many places."

The factory director looked up, as if reminiscing about the past. "Eurydice is a symbol of beauty, but also of the past that cannot be recalled. She constantly reminds you not to look back. She is a brave nightingale, whose song can break through barriers and show everyone how to face the cruel reality."

[Entomologist: So, Alice, are you planning to "die" in front of Conan?]

[Reporter: I just raised my flags to the highest level. If I don't die, it would be a waste of all the preparation.]

[Jack: Don't worry, I'm very good at it.]

[Novelist: Ghost!]

[Sculptor: Compared to this, it seems that someone in the script is about to be abandoned by everyone. (laughing)]

[Photographer: Well, now I only have Jack and Vera around to help with the real work.]

[Artist: According to the script Orpheus has written, Miss Galatea and Mr. Joseph have fallen out over 'unrequited love'. Tracy's side is naturally beyond words, and so is Jack's...]

[Jack: When I was checking the storage room, I found that half of the film was missing, so I stole the remaining half and blamed it on Miss Alice, oh no, Miss Lamb, who started it first.]

[Perfumer: Then you went to inform on the matter, but incidentally overheard Miss Galatea's private conversation with the Lamb, and you simply shifted the blame onto Miss Galatea.]

[Photographer: So I decided to just abandon this base and let Jack handle the aftermath.]

[Perfumer: As the only witness, I will be temporarily frightened and unable to communicate normally.]

[Artist: Wow, everyone is arranged so well here. Is there anyone else who can be used behind the "DM"?]

[Photographer: It was there just now, but it’s gone now. (Unhappy)]

[First Mate: I can't hold it any longer.]

[Spellcaster: There really is no one behind "DM."]

[Prisoner: The conspirator thought he had received help from the chess player and the deliveryman, but upon closer inspection, he discovered that the two neutrals were the fool and the tramp.]

[Mechanic: And the teammates are still playing hook.]

[Toy Maker: We have no idea how DM can turn the tables.]

"Ahem, although I really want to continue this topic, ladies and gentlemen, have you forgotten something very important?" The lawyer picked up the files on his desk. "We are about to start the court session!"

"Hey, I almost forgot about the important thing because of this distraction." The philanthropist patted his head.

"Here, your medical records." The doctor handed the philanthropist a stack of files. "It's to prevent those people from causing trouble. Although I have great faith in Lawyer Fei's character, I can't guarantee that those who are brought up here will do harm."

"Damn, those guys won't attack me because of my criminal record." The philanthropist scratched his head. "My head itches, I feel like I need a brain."

"You really should go to Ms. Cogan to brush up on your law studies!" The lawyer almost shouted at the philanthropist's ear.

"Look at what you said, lawyer. If everyone in the manor knows the law, you will be useless, right?" The philanthropist looked at the lawyer with a teasing look.

"I..." The lawyer's face had turned purple with anger. Then he took a deep breath, opened the window of the room and retched a few times.
