Rebirth: I Became a Maggot 2

Chapter 110 Little Bei's Adventures

Chapter 110 Little Bei's Adventures

I don't know if this family went out or went to visit relatives, because there seems to be no one at home now.

The kitten stopped panting and rested for a while before it caught its breath.

I was exhausted from flying so fast. It was really tiring. When I stopped, I felt like my wings weren't even mine anymore; they were shaking.

I landed directly on the kitten's back. Its soft fur felt incredibly comfortable. It was so tiring. I wonder if I would be too sweaty to fly in the summer.

It took me a while to recover, and then I asked, quite frustrated, "Is this your plan? Is this your opportunity?"

The kitten was also panting heavily. After its breathing gradually calmed down, it said, "I thought I could escape, but I don't know why, suddenly a lot of children came out and chased me."

Holy crap, you still don't know what happened. You probably don't even know there's such a thing as a cell phone, and you have no idea you've gotten yourself into big trouble.

Do you know how important a face is to someone who's not mainstream? How are they supposed to pick up girls if they don't have a face?

"Anyway, those three guys have already gathered all the kids in the village they can call to help them catch the cat. It seems we need to come up with a plan." I said, looking at the kitten with a sense of frustration.

If you get a group of kids to do something else naughty, their parents probably won't object, but if it's just something fun like catching a cat...

If it's just a stray cat that nobody wants, then nobody will say anything. It's just a kid; let it play with whatever it has. As long as it doesn't do anything illegal, it's fine.

We're not dealing with three young people anymore, we're dealing with a whole village of kids now. Who knows if they're practicing family planning in this village?

If a family has several children, then we won't just be dealing with a dozen or so, but dozens.

The most troublesome thing is that this kitten is a stray cat. If it were a house cat, it would be easier to deal with, at least it would have someone to rely on.

But stray cats are different. They don't care if you live or die. Modern people are so indifferent to people, let alone a cat.

So now we have to rely on ourselves for everything, but at least for now, I really don't have a good solution.

I'm so frustrated. Why am I always the one being pushed to the brink?

The children who are hiding here can't get in yet, but just because they can't now doesn't mean they won't be able to later. Who knows when the owner of this house will come back?

And what about all the mischievous kids in the village? Aren't they all capable of scaling walls and climbing trees?

So we didn't have much time to rest. Now that we're temporarily safe, I asked the kitten, "What's your background?"

Upon hearing my question, the kitten replied, "I have no special background."

"No background? If you have no background, why weren't you nervous at all when you scratched that young man? If you have no background, why were you so composed while on the run? It seems like this isn't the first time you've done something like this." I said from the side, quite disbelievingly.

"I really don't have any background. If I had to say what my background is, I'd say I'm a child who left home," the kitten said sadly.

"What's going on? Are you also looking for your way home?" I asked excitedly.

"Yes, I'm looking for my way home, but I've been looking for a long time and still haven't found it," the kitten said sadly.

"It's okay, I'm actually looking for my way home too. I've been looking for a long time." I said sadly after hearing the kitten's answer.

To think I'd met someone in the same boat here. Could it be...?

Could this kitten share the same fate as me? So calm, so composed, could it have suffered the same fate as me, the only difference being that it was placed inside a cat's body?

With this in mind, I excitedly asked, "What happened? Tell me, what exactly is going on?"

The kitten lay down on the ground sadly and slowly said, "I actually have an older brother and a mother. Once, when I was out playing, I was put into a box by a family who were moving. Later, when I came out again, I found that I had fallen into the wild."

"I came out very scared, and after encountering many things, I finally got here, but I still haven't found my mother," the kitten said sadly.

"Don't be sad. I'm also trying to find my way home, and it might be even harder for me than for you," I comforted the kitten. It seems this kitten's situation is different from mine.

Maybe it really is looking for its way home, or maybe it really is a cat. This reminds me of an animated film from my childhood, I think it was called The Adventures of Little Bei. It tells the story of a cat that fell outside and went through countless storms in order to get home, eventually growing up and becoming sensible.

It was full of inspiration and adventure, and I remember it was my favorite show back then.

Looking at the kitten in front of me, especially its determined eyes, it really does look a bit like one.

"Little cat, what's your name? We've known each other for so long, but I haven't asked you your name yet," I asked very politely.

"Little Bei, what about you?" the kitten named Little Bei asked.

Holy crap, can it really be that much of a coincidence?

"Don't you have an older brother named Xiaobao?" I asked, feeling quite annoyed.

"Yes, yes, how did you know?" Xiao Bei asked excitedly.

"I... I was just guessing," I said, quite annoyed. What a coincidence! Is this some kind of modern-day Beckham adventure?

Could there be a modern version of Suk and Beta?

I was feeling quite depressed.

"You still haven't told me your name?" Xiao Bei asked curiously.

“My name is Yi Mao Er,” I replied.

"One cent and two cents? What a strange name. How can there be such a name?" Xiao Bei asked curiously.

Can I say that's a screen name? Can I say I can't tell you my real name? I don't plan to use this name after I become a real person.

"Well, what's so strange about it? You've never seen anyone called 'Third Fatty' or 'Second Brother.' Names starting with numbers are actually quite normal. There are names like 'Seven Times a Night' or something. There's nothing strange about it." I quickly explained, wondering how I would explain if I was asked further questions.

"Oh, your names are really strange," Xiao Bei said with some curiosity.

Just as we were talking, a loud noise suddenly came from the doorway, as if someone was kicking the door hard, and the dust on the door was shaken off.
