Taking a Half-Day Off + Progress Summary
Having a serious case of writer's block today, so I'm organizing my thoughts.
Actually, the initial idea for this book came from the second part of 'Abyssal Lone Wanderer,' 'Faya's Game.' At the time, I was thinking of using the moon as a base, so I wrote down the first note of inspiration:
Guanghan Province.
This is my inspiration notepad. It's full of random ideas that come to me before I sleep, which I jot down to avoid forgetting them when I wake up. It's quite long now.
Many inspirations are actually unusable, or they get directly eliminated during editing.
Unexpectedly, with the story structured this far, Guanghan Province hasn't even made an appearance yet.
Next, I'll be structuring the second half of the story, starting with Act Nine: [Seeking the Moon in Guanghan].
Don't worry, gentlemen, about the story structure, character settings, or pacing. The story will definitely be complete. Even in that book 'Heavenly Court,' where I tried writing a regular person as the protagonist and messed it up, the story was still complete.
External factors won't defeat me; they'll just inevitably affect the quality of my daily writing, which I'll work hard to adjust.
Furthermore, Wang Daoren's descent into and emergence from demonic influence is a gradual change in his temperament. I know this kind of writing isn't popular, but for the sake of the overall narrative, it has to happen. Otherwise, the demonic cultivator trope I've been playing with all along won't be able to land properly.
The current creative difficulty is actually how to smoothly 'open up' the map.
I'll continue to ponder.
Tomorrow's noon chapter will be updated as usual!
